The Baltazar distance-learning system

THE PROJECT – The Baltazar Distance-Learning System (http://baltazar.vspu.hr/) was established at the at Baltazar Adam Krčelić College of Business and Management, accredited, in Zaprešić, Croatia (http://www.vspu.hr/)..

The System was created through four principle orientations and it includes the possibility of adding new classes and specializations:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT – eight classes
  • COMBINED – thirteen classes
  • BUSINESS ECONOMICS AND FINANCE – twenty-four classes
  • MANAGEMENT IN CULTURE – twenty-four classes
  • BUSINESS SECRETARY – fourteen classes

WORK ON THIS PROJECT (APART FROM CREATING THE SYSTEM) INCLUDES:

  • Daily support to users of the system, at all levels of use
  • Communicating with professors, concerning their support in working with the system, working through the materials. At their request, entering study materials as necessary
  • The possibility of user registration by sending requests with necessary personal information via electronic mail
  • Organizing classes for the teaching staff regarding the use of all possibilities of the system.

The system has been active since 2005 and users were able to begin with the data input as of 18 January 2006, when everyone (the teaching staff) was sent an e-mail with his/her access information, their user names and passwords, and they were asked to start uploading study course materials.
